U would have thought this was a RedEye Flight!!!
We’ve lined up and boarded the plane. As we wanted to sit together and we were in a big group, we had little choice but to take the last few rows at the back of the plane. Fortunately this was not a full flight, and there were plenty of empty seats.
Our plane is a Boeing 737-300, a small plane, with a seating capacity of approximately 148 passenger. This is one of the most reliable work horses of the aviation industry, and one of the most widely use aircraft in the industry for short haul flight. Max Flight distrance is about 3 - 4 hours. Here is a photo of a similar plane we took.
Well the flight was pretty uneventful.Except for the fact that our plane was delayed on the taxiway of the airport, as it apparently had a failure in the navigational systems. So while they tried to fix it , we were waiting at one end of the runway. They managed to fix it in about 30 minutes and we started taxing for take off.
If you are familiar with Air Asia, they are a budget airline, that offers cheap fares to destinations around ASEAN. They have 1 Class free seating policy, and they do not serve you food/drinks on board. Instead you’ll have to purchase your food and drinks on board the plane.
With a flight time of 2 hours, many of us settled to be comfortable and fall asleep . Some like Yuen Lin was reading a book , while others tried to take a nap ( like me ) , and some were very successful in taking a nap, as these photos would suggest.
