Somerset Lakepoint
After approximately 8 hours of travelling, our taxis were nearing the hotel. The drivers were unsure of the way, as Somerset Lake Point is not a very commonly used hotel. I would say a well kept secret of Bangkok. The driver had a general idea on where to head, and we didn’t get horribly lost.
We didn’t quite know what to expect. In the planning stages, I had to convince the whole group to take Lake Point over other hotels we were considering. And I did say that Somerset Lake Point would be pretty luxurious and well runned. Now imagine if Lake Point did not meet it’s expectations. I would have been crucified by the lot. Thankfully, when we arrived , we were not dissapointed.
We booked 1 unit 2 Bedroom and , 1 Unit 3 Bedroom apartment. And it turned out lovely, as the photos would suggest. Overall we had 9 beds for 11 people. The initial plan was to have 2 guys sleep on the couch.
